Teen Tech Week (March 6 to 12, 2011)

Teen Tech Week is a national initiative sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association of the American Library Association and is aimed at teens, their parents, educators and other concerned adults. The purpose of the initiative is to ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries such as DVDs, databases, audiobooks, and videogames.

The Los Angeles Public Library will celebrate Teen Tech Week with the following events:

March 10,2011, Thursday,  4:00 - 5:00 p.m., Presentation from Robotics Academy, the robotics club at CHAMPS Charter High School.

March 12, 2011, Saturday, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. - Chipthrash Library Tour: Join us as we host a variety of chipthrash artists, who use Nintendo Gameboys as musical instruments!
